I fill some of my prescriptions through a Canadian drug service. Can I deduct the costs?

I have decided to fill some of my prescriptions through a Canadian drug service. Can I deduct the costs for medications?

Because the importation of drugs from Canada is illegal, the costs do not qualify for the medical expense deduction. This is true even though the medications are available by prescription in the United States.
