I'll turn 62 years old in February 2010. I want to start receiving Social Security, but I have a part-time job. Will this impact my benefits?

Once you turn age 62, you can start to receive Social Security benefits, but you'll receive a reduced amount; you'd need to wait until your normal retirement age of 66 to collect full benefits. However, if you earn more than a certain amount, you'll start to lose $1 of the benefits you receive for each $2 over the earnings limit. The limit in 2010 is $14,160 ($1,180 per month), the same limit that applied in 2009.
