Per diem travel rates increased for 2008

The IRS's rates under the "high-low" method for substantiating per diem travel expenses of employees within the continental U.S. (CONUS) for the period from October 1, 2007, through September 30, 2008, are $237 for high-cost areas and $152 for all other areas.
