Retirement saver's credit increase for 2008

Eligibility for the retirement saver's credit in 2008 is greater. For joint filers, the 50% credit applies if AGI does not exceed $32,000; the 20% if AGI does not exceed $34,500, and the 10% credit if AGI does not exceed $53,000. For heads of households, the 50% credit applies if AGI does not exceed $24,000; the 20% if AGI does not exceed $25,875, and the 10% credit if AGI does not exceed $39,750. For single individuals, the 50% credit applies if AGI does not exceed $16,000; the 20% if AGI does not exceed $17,250, and the 10% credit if AGI does not exceed $26,500.
