Strapped for cash? Your IRA may help.

If you face a short-term cash crunch, money in your IRA can fill your need. Simply withdraw the amount you require (your IRA custodian can instruct you on how to do it). But you must replace the money in your IRA within 60 days of the date it was withdrawn. If you don’t, then the withdrawal becomes taxable and, if you are under age 59½, subject to a 10% penalty. Caution: You can make only one withdrawal/redeposit from an IRA account within a 1-year period.
